White Label Products: Your Brand on Ready-Made Goods
White label products are finished, ready-made consumer goods that carry no brand of their own. You buy them as they are, apply your own branding — a logo, a label, a hangtag, a printed box — and sell them as your own range. The product itself stays standard; the identity on it becomes yours. Because the goods already exist in a supplier's catalogue, the path from idea to sellable stock is short, and the investment is far lower than developing a product from scratch.
The Private Label Supplier, operated by Mutual Trade (Yiwu Michu Guomao), builds white label programmes for brand owners, importers and e-commerce sellers. We are a sourcing and supply-chain service, not a factory: products are made by vetted supplier factories around Yiwu International Trade City and the industrial belts of Jinhua, Yongkang, Pujiang and Dongyang. We source the goods, arrange your branding, inspect quality, consolidate everything in Yiwu and ship worldwide — one window for many categories and many factories, instead of you managing each factory separately.
White Label vs Private Label: What Actually Differs
Both routes put your brand on a product, but they sit at different points on the customisation scale. White label starts from an existing product and applies light-touch branding. Private label goes deeper: changes to materials, specifications, structure and packaging, developed around your brief. That depth affects minimums, timelines and cost.
| Aspect | White Label | Private Label |
|---|---|---|
| Customisation depth | Ready-made product; your logo, labels, hangtags and packaging | Product changes: materials, specifications, structure, colours, full packaging design |
| Minimum order quantity | Lower; entry-level per-style minimums | Higher per style, since production is set up around your specification |
| Lead time | Shorter; ready stock in 7-25 days depending on category | Longer; customised production takes 15-50 days |
| Best for | Testing a category, fast range building, e-commerce scaling | Building differentiated products with defensible specifications |
Categories That Suit White Label Wholesale Orders
Not every category rewards a white label approach equally. The strongest white label wholesale orders are for products with steady demand, simple branding surfaces and manageable minimums. Across categories, MOQs typically run 100-800 pieces per style, and multiple SKUs and categories can be mixed in one consolidated container.
- Household goods: 100-500 pieces per style; ready stock ships in 7-15 days, customised production takes 15-30 days.
- Bags: 200-400 pieces per style; stock 15-25 days, custom 20-35 days.
- Jewellery and accessories: 300-800 sets per style; stock 10-20 days, custom 15-30 days. Consumable spare parts and accessories can be ordered separately at 50-200 pieces.
- Toys: 200-500 sets per style; stock 15-25 days, custom 25-45 days.
- Textiles and apparel: 200-1,000 pieces per style; stock 20-30 days, custom 30-50 days.
Hardware tools (200-500 sets), small appliances and holiday gifts (200-600 pieces) also work well. For seasonal and holiday products, lock capacity 90-120 days ahead.
How a White Label Order Runs
1. Pick the products
For each request, our team prepares 3-5 alternative options from different suppliers, materials or specifications, with a comparison of cost, lead time and quality risk. We also suggest best-seller line extensions — the same product in new sizes or colours, material upgrades, or gift-set bundles.
2. Add your branding
Logo printing, foil stamping, embroidered labels and Pantone colour matching are all available. Packaging options include colour boxes, hangtags, blister packs, OPP bags and gift boxes. We can design and translate labels and instruction manuals in 10+ languages, and prepare UPC/EAN barcodes, SKU labels, Amazon FBA labels and California Prop 65 warning labels.
3. Inspection
Quality control covers incoming, in-process, first-piece, final and outgoing checks, with AQL sampling at level 2.5/4.0 or a stricter 0.65 level on request. Reports include high-definition photos, video, a defect list and re-inspection records. You may appoint third-party inspectors such as SGS, BV, TUV or Intertek, and batch samples and records are kept for at least 12 months. Where compliance testing is needed, we coordinate with ISO 17025 laboratories and help prepare documents such as EN71, ASTM F963, CPSIA, REACH, RoHS, FDA food-contact testing, CE documentation, CPC and certificates of origin. Testing fees are charged directly by the laboratory; our coordination and document-preparation fee is RMB 500-2,000 per order. Certificates available upon request.
4. Consolidated shipping
Goods are consolidated in Yiwu and shipped on EXW, FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, CIF or DDP (door to door, tax included) terms. Sea freight takes 30-45 days to Europe, 45-55 days to South America and 35-50 days to the US West Coast; China-Europe rail 20-30 days; air freight door to door 7-15 days; express 3-7 days worldwide.
Scaling From Dropshipping to Stocked Branded Inventory
Many e-commerce sellers begin with dropshipping, where general unbranded goods carry no MOQ, and then want their own identity on the products they sell best. White label is the natural next step: you choose proven products, apply your branding, and hold stocked inventory that supports faster delivery and better margins. Private label branding — custom packaging, thank-you inserts, product logos — is available to online sellers, but branding carries a minimum quantity and a separate customisation fee. Ask your account manager for the exact figure for your product.
FAQ
Do I need a large order to start with white label products?
No. White label MOQs are typically 100-800 pieces per style depending on category, and several SKUs can be combined in one consolidated container. For small test orders under US$2,000, PayPal or Alipay is accepted; larger orders run on T/T (30% deposit, 70% balance) or L/C, with open-account terms available to established customers after a credit review.
How long does a white label order take?
Ready stock ships in 7-25 days depending on category. If your order involves customised production, allow 15-50 days. Sampling typically takes 7-15 days, and a fast sampling channel can prioritise small sample runs of 1-50 pieces.
Can you ship white label products to my market?
Yes. We serve South America, Europe, North America and the Middle East, with account managers working in Spanish, Portuguese, German, English and Russian. Contact [email protected] to discuss your category, target market and branding plan.
